Community outreach connects medical institutes, academic researchers and stakeholders to build awareness and develop and action plan to address community health needs. Outreach can span from the delivery of services to the dissemination of information. CTSC 5070 What every researcher should know about community engagement in research.


This course will introduce learners to the variety of research methods and tools used in community engagement research. The didactic and interactive lectures will provide a foundation in the principles of community engagement in research and the bi-directional relationships of community members, patients, community leaders, and researchers that is at the core of these principles.
